Event Description

As a spinoff to Global Entrepreneurship Week, we are holding an event to provide new and existing social enterprises access to experts in a range of fields, so their social enterprise can grow and expand, and also do things right first time.

We have a number of fantastic speakers and workshops being held on the day by industry based experts on topics such as:

  • Strategy
  • Investment
  • Marketing
  • Intellectual Property
  • Finance
  • Tax
  • Networking
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Social Value

We will also be running advice sessions, where you can access experts and specialists, and ask them for advice with your queries.

We are delighted to confirm that Penny Newman OBE will be speaking at the Think Big, Think Social event.  Penny has worked at Cafedirect, the UK’s largest 100% Fairtrade hot drinks company, and she led the company in the largest public ethical share issue in the UK, raising £5m for the organisation.  Penny also transformed The Jamie Oliver Foundation increasing its social activities and diversifying its income streams.  Prior to this Penny worked at The Body Shop.  Penny is a Board member for the Social Enterprise Mark Company.  Penny was awarded an OBE for services to ethical business in 2008.  Penny will be talking about developing your strategy in order to gain investment for your social enterprise.

Whether you are a new social enterprise or an existing social enterprise, this event is for you, and will equip you with the skills and expertise to grow and expand further.

Tickets will be £75 + VAT for tickets.

We are offering discounted tickets to CIC Association members.
