Whilst we are known as Disability Works we actually work with all people who are disadvantaged centralised on Norfolk but would operate in other areas if we can find funding.

We offer training oportunities for people that either wish to get back in to work through working for themselves or to start up that first time business to do the same. We concentrate on providing a back office facility to our client  companies and to get the new businesses supplying these services.

We are also working to set up a new system to channel work to these new businesses through our contacts.

We are beginning to find small sums of funding and are working on turning those small sums of money into bigger amounts through running and managing projects for people we come in contact with. But we need that investment that will help us progress to the next step.

Norfolk is an area that can greatly benefit from our services as there are many people in the County who can for one or other reason only work for themselves.

Any help we can get would  be most welcome.

Thanks

Enter CIC, based in South County Durham aims to encourage, motivate and engage seriously disadvantaged young people aged between 4 and 25, and promote active and experiential learning. We provide opportunities for all to achieve by promoting personal and social development. We aim to provide opportunities for young people to transform their abilities and achievements into successful experiences, upon which they can build and develop as positive and proactive members of society.

We provide opportunities for young people to function as a contributing partner in their future social, cultural, economic and professional communities through a range of creative initiatives.

Enter CIC uses the creative industries to fight disadvantage and improve the social skills, aspirations and self-esteem of young people. Various programmes and activities are provided throughout the year on evenings, weekends and holiday periods.

Because of the area we work in, we cannot charge the young people for fear of losing them altogether from this very positive aspect of their lives. Therefore, we are looking for investment to help us build a service infrastructure and product base that helps us become sustainable in the long term.

We are looking for investment possibly in the form of a Social Impact Bond since we're not only meeting the Every Child Matters outcomes but also reducing youth crime costs to local government by 75%.

Please contact me for further details. We're hoping to be active from September 2011 "if we get investment", operating alongside a county council owned specialist school.

KO2 provides “Dirtbiking for Life”, breaking new ground in re-engaging young people at risk of exclusion from society in an unconventional learning environment.  We teach life and IT skills using exciting and environmentally-positive electric dirtbikes. We give kids a fighting chance to succeed.

BigBarn is a local food & drink CIC with a mission to get people out the supermarket and shopping locally.  We have over 6,700 producers/retailers on our map accessed by simply typing in a post code.

Our producer community can change their information and add special offers whenever they want, using a password. And our consumer community can access the site whenever they want and register for our free emailed post code specific newsletter with local food news & special offers.

We are seeking investment to capitalise on 10 years worth of brand building, technology, knowledge and partnerships.  The investment would be used to increase marketing and increase traffic to the static and mobile site increasing income soon after.

For further details contact Anthony Davison on 01480 890 970 or ant@bigbarn.co.uk
