EPIK just completed it's second FEB half term maker party, keeping in mind we started with just 4 kids and had over 70 at this one we are really pleased with the outcome and all was done on donated resources, prizes, venue and volunteering, we had a huge amount of fun!

Still not making any money (sustainably) but as John asked me right at the start "which was I after the money or the mission" the mission won out!

Curated content and projects the kids made with code https://www.facebook.com/epikprojectuk

We are also starting to get invite to do talks, Belfast, London, Kent and Newcastle (expense's paid) and invites for our young people to volunteer at IT industry events and companies as work experience, the first step to our Geeky youth peer mentor alumni program.

We work a lot with Minecraft as a tool that can give kids a reason to learn to "Code" vs. Just play - through a parent lead network of small clubs created by parents and managed by their kids - "Kids teaching kids" trained by EPIK.
