Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question but couldn't find anything else in a search. Can anyone please advise re regulations about fundraising. I've been asked by a couple of business' if they could have fundraising tins for counters. Is this allowed? I'm thinking there are some rules around collecting the money and do I need formal permission from anyone? I'd be grateful for any advice or signpost to any regs please. See More

"I've just looked at the guidelines for striking a Ltd co off the register. It says there is a period of 3 months for this to happen once the proposal is received. Can I still apply to transfer the name in this time or will I have to wait to re…"
"Thanks James, I've completed all the docs so it's my own fault as I wanted to assure the name was protected and get all my leaflets etc printed and start distributing them. It was a cheap way to do it , but not so now!
You're right, you can't convert from being limited by shares to limited by guarantee, so will have to wind up the first company and form a new one. Setting up a CIC is more work than a 'standard' company as you need…"
Hello all, I hope someone can help. In haste I formed a Ltd company as I wanted to get my promo stuff out there, but it's Ltd by shares with me as sole director.I'm now filling in the forms for conversion and I see I am unable to change to a cic limited by guarantee. I'm heavily reliant on future funding so it seems important to remedy this error. I see that it is possible to create another cic from scratch which is Ltd by guarantee. I'm wondering how difficult this is, and what do I need to…See More
