North Somerset Community Partnership

I am an ageing (82) citizen of North Somerset who, from !st October, can expect that community health services will be moved from the PCT and be provided by  a CIC with the above name.

 

Both from the health standpoint and from a wish to see socially oriented ventures (trading or not) promoted as part of generating a collaborative society, I am lining up background from relevant sources to improve my own and local understanding. Pro tem I do not expect to be contributing,but…

One-off grants are available to local people in Brentwood for projects and initiatives which benefit the community and improve the quality of life in the area.

Cole Charitable Trust (Urgent)

Max value: £ 1,000.

Grants are available for small local registered charities undertaking projects for social and community work in Greater Birmingham, Cambridgeshire and Kent.

Long-range Research Initiative (LRI) (Urgent)

Deadline: 06/09/2015.

Fund type: Grant.

Max value: Discretionary.

The aim of the Long-range Research Initiative is to increase understanding of the potential impact of chemicals on human health and the environment. Current research areas address the following key public concerns: development of intelligent testing (including alternatives to animal testing), understanding the effects of chemicals in complex environments, and public acceptance of new technologies.
