CIC Association

Serving Community Enterprise

Funders are increasingly demanding that organisations demonstrate the outcomes that they are delivering with their money. Particularly by government funders, but also now from other areas. So to continue to win contracts and receive funding, you now need someone with a degree in statistics in your organisation to 'prove' that you've delivered those outcomes you said you would.

So Belake CIC suggests a forum for sharing best practice on monitoring, evaluation and performance management. Lets share best practice in this area, before it becomes a burden, rather than the enabling force it should be.

in the first years of the CIC legislation, the original regulator, John Hanlon, spoke to the Social Audit Network (SAN) conference on how social accounting might benefit CICs with their annual "impact and achievements" submission (as well as how it would be useful for any social enterprise...) - well, SAN are still hosting their annual conference, and if anyone's interestd, my reflections and links from the most recent can be read here:
for anyone in the NW, there's a free masterclass on social impact assessment and reporting taking place in Lancaster on Dec 20th.
