Serving Community Enterprise

Hello fellow CIC people. I have been helping to run a CIC based in North Cornwall for a few years and have now been bitten by the bug myself. While waiting for my incorporation to be completed I have been making my initial business plans.

Obviously these days step one seems to be a website. Hence the question, should I fund a basic website myself, or immediately try and get funding / grant to cover the costs.

Recommend you try and secure funding first, but as the cost of a website can be very low (if you know what you're doing) you may prefer to crack on.

You could loan the money to the CIC straight away, but normally grants wouldnt cover something that's already been done. Cleanest is to secure the funding first.

Best of luck
