Bribery Act 2010 - Implications for CICs?

There are currently warnings being posted that the Bribery Act 2010 could apply to charities and that there could be issues to consider when the Act comes in to force in April 2011.

Soory had an Eye problem that has keep me off the web

Hi All

I will continue the information on websites over this weekend and yes I will put them into a PDF and Word document for people to down load and read/keep.

I have had an eye issue and flu which has prevented me from getting online (not a lot of point when you cannot see the screen) but hopefull that has been sorted and I can get back to normail this week.

As a CIC our year end is 31st March, some of the work we undertake is based on an academic year. We have been told by the accountant that at the end of the financial year any money left over (profit) is due for Corp Tax, even though the money is restricted to a project, one of these projects is ongoing. Is this true and if so is there a way round it.

CIC Accounts

Hi Everyone, I need help/info. I am coming up to my first year end accounts and realise I dont know what is needed for CIC accounts. Do they need to be audited? etc etc Could someone clue me in to what I need to be doing please, rather than spend a fortune on finding out this info.
