adding directors to a CIC

At the moment I am the sole director for both company limited by guarantee reg'd through companies house and the CIC. In order to go for funding I need to add 2 unrelated directors to the board of directors. Can someone tell me if I need to add the 2 directors to the company ltd by guarantee and the CIC or can I get away with doing something else?

Help please

We provide courses to vulnerable young people, there is a bursary for the course but our contract won't be paid for thirty days. As a small organisation we can't bank roll costs for students. I need a grant about £2000 but need to turn ii around in a week, any ideas?

Adding a charity to help support a CIC?


We have a CIC which works with children and young people with emotional wellbeing/mental health issues.  I set up a CIC initially rather than a charity as wasn't able to work into it if it was a charity and I needed to at that time to develop it.  The difficulty we have is that we would like to do some fund raising to be able to offer the children that 'bit extra' which we are not able to use our current funding for - e.g. Christmas party, refreshments, days out/travel…
