CIC Association

Serving Community Enterprise

Greener Growth is a community-focused organisation seeking to help people of all ages to be confident and self-sufficient by growing their own food. Our projects are targeted at schools, colleges, universities, prisons and village groups.

Participants in Greener Growth will learn to plant, grow and harvest fresh fruit and vegetables on vacant or underused land. By so doing they will turn neglected plots into productive resources, promote biodiversity and nurture habitats for wildlife, since conservation is a key part of our ethic.

We have recently formed as a CIC after 18 months of getting the right contacts and funding and are looking to connect with any agencies that can assist on our journey.

Of course, we can help anyone else that has enquiries or use of our services!

Joannah Metcalfe started work at Blundeston Prison over a year ago, introducing an Organic Garden within the prison boundaries using Permaculture Principles.

We have some impressive testimonials from the staff and inmates at the prison which show the value of our work to the Prison Community, and also to the wider community.

Jo has since added two more directors and four further advisers to ensure we have all bases covered, everyone is working on a voluntary basis at the moment as we all believe in the principles and the future potential.

If anyone can help introduce us to people in East Anglia that may be interested in providing funding, or has land/equipment/volunteers we could utilise, please do get in touch...

Many thanks

Sam Hardy
