Hi everyone.

Cheshire Streetwise is based in Macclesfield, Cheshire.  Run entirely by volunteers, we focus on the collection, redistribution, and re-sale of used furniture donated by the public. The idea is to reduce landfill by saving items that are in good order, and to use the 'profit ' raised from sales to fund the overheads of running a shop and a van. Any surplus is used to try and get homeless off the street, to provide support to them in their current circumstances, or to assist with finding social housing.

We offer Community packages to those who have recently been provided with social housing, but have nothing to go into the property. This is supported by the local authority. We also run a  food bank to support the local community supported by the local authority, and several local supermarkets.

We engage with many local homeless or disenfranchised people living in poverty, and act as a conduit to advocate for them where their voice isn't always  heard.

3Rcomputers are a social enterprise based in the North West, focused on the reuse and recycle of IT equipment for the benefit of the community and the environment.  We collect unwanted computer equipment for reuse or disposal from a number of donors.

Equipment that can be reused is refurbished and offered to charities, not-for-profit organisations and disadvantaged individuals within the community.  Equipment that cannot be reused is recycled and kept out of landfill.

In providing this service we provide local employment opportunities and work experience for the unemployed and volunteers.

Our mission is to make a positive social change by making affordable refurbished information technology equipment available to local organisations and disadvantaged individuals whilst actively working towards reducing the amount of toxic e-waste deposited into landfill.
