Hi everyone

Very new to this.  I am looking at converting a Charity to a CIC.  Does anyone have experience of this please.

Hi Aly

Yes, in any event, subject to the process via Charity Commission, you can keep the brand whowever you proceed.

Best to confirm the process with Charity Commission, which may give you the context for further questions and a phone call

Hi John and very much appreciate the reply. It would appear that a CIC better reflects the aims of what we are wanting to do and takes some of the pressure of vis the regulatory/reporting aspects. Have you any experience of the implications for the organisation? If the existing Charity is called 'anonX ltd' could it then be called 'anonX CIC'? We are wanting to keep the brand. Many thanks for any help and if you have the time happy to take a telephone call if it is easier. Regards Aly

to convert to a CIC from a Charity you have to go through the Charity Commission. Anecdotally it seems a little more complicated than going from CIC to Charity but is ultimately just a paperwork job. If everything else is staying the same there should be no real issue.

Why are you looking to convert?
