    I'm in the process of putting together our first year's accounts and report. Becuase Companies House insist on a balance sheet (even though our financial affairs are very simple: no assets or liabilities just a small turnover of income and expenditure) I need to use an accountant. This is proving more difficult than you would think. I have approached one of the larger practices in town and they are having to check with their professional body to establish whether they can even act for a CIC!
